I really am in need of any and all recommendations for places to eat in Columbus. I appreciate any ideas!!

  1. Do you have a specific cuisine in mind? Fine dining/casual dining?

Either way, you can't go wrong with the following:

    Lindey's
    Refectory
    Big Fat Greek Kuzina
    Panda Inn
    Northstar Cafe
    Banana Bean Cafe
    Joey Chang's

    1. I'm a big fan of Barcelona.

      1. The best restaurants in Columbus, having tried mostly everything "high end" there and comparing it to the heavy hitters in NYC (Gramercy, Babbo, EMP), San Francisco (French Laundry, Boulevard, Aqua), Chicago (Moto, TRU, Charlie Trotters), LA (Spago, Osteria Mozza, Bazaar), and LV (Alex, Le Cirque, MiX) here is my list of stuff that would fare well on a "national stage" I have reviews of many here on Chowhound if you browse.

        In no particular order:
Refectory, Kihachi, M at Miranova, Worthington Inn, Rigsby's, Rosendales, Dragonfly Neo V

Lindey's, Northstar, Banana Bean, Tucci's, Z Cusina, Deepwood, and others will probably get mentioned - but they are only "okay" by Columbus standards and ....um.... shall I say "not good" by national standards.

Barcelona, Luce, Scali, and Black Creek Bistro are on my "To try because they look awesome" list.

For desserts - Pistachia Vera (better than the hype), Jeni's (though not as good as the hype, quite good,) and Piece of Cake should not be missed.
