Mussels and Frites

phelana Mar 17, 2009 03:14 PM

I had a lovely dinner at Pastis (NYC) and Mussells and Frites. Does anyone serve this delish combo?

The Green Street version is awesome, but it's only mussels in amazing broth - a side of their house made chips would be a great sub for frites (though the ones at Central Kitchen can't be beaten when they are on)

The Publick House in Brookline has a good version.

Are any of these in Back Bay or Boston vs Cambridge or Brookline please? We have a long day of meetings so want to be near our hotel.

Eastern Standard- I read your other thread as well- its in Kenmore which is relatively close to BU. They have a great Mussels and Frites dish-and the rest of their menu is great as well!

I did a mussel run at Aquitaine, Brazzerie Jo and Eastern Standard. Eastern standard won for their flavourful broth.

Central Kitchen in Central Square has them as an appetizer. When I had them last summer they were the plumpest and most delicious mussels I had ever tasted. The fries are topped with a tasty aioli.

I used to work at Central Kitchen and people came from all over Boston just for the Moule Frite - very nice.

Central Kitchen has the best! Brasserie Jo is good, but you have to order fries separately.

I'd suggest Periot Bistro on Cambridge Street. Their "m&f's are fantastic.

I had them a while back at Kingston Station and remember really enjoying them.
