Portuguese Pasteis de Bacalhau in NJ?

Want to try Pastéis de Bacalhau - think this is a deep fried Portuguese Cod Fish Cake pastry (The Portuguese bakery in Sayreville has closed) Does anyone know of other restaurants serve this in NJ? Thanks again.

I love bolinhos de bacalhao. Add a dash of tobasco and wash them down with a caipirinha!

Have not made it to Newark yet!
While in Union NJ today came across a wonderful Portuguese Bakery.

Emily's Portuguese Bakery Deli & Restaurant
      962 Stuyvesant Avenue
      Union NJ

They are a small family owned business with no website.

They have about a 14 small tables inside. Great Blackboard menu with lots of sandwiches and soups.

Most excited because they had Pastéis de Bacalhau (Codcakes Yummy) but also had Rissois de Camarao (Shrimp Turnovers) These were AMAZING!
The filling and the pastry was so good!

Spoke with one of the kind and patience women at the counter, she says they make them everyday. She did her best to communicate and answered all of my questions. She explained that if we want something special just call them in the morning, they open at 6AM, and they will happily take an order.

In addition, had a small ham and cheese sandwich on a Portuguese roll that was wonderful!

They also have a full selection of pastries - Pastel de nata (small custard tarts) Portuguese berliner and Mocha Cake. Definitely will be a next time!

The place was packed at 1:30PM.
Lots of free street parking. Located about 2 minutes away (super easy hop on hop off) from exit 140B Garden State Parkway

Shabby; head out to Newark and Teixeira's Bakery on 184 Ferry St and enjoy not only the Pastries, Espresso, and Bread but also the company. Always reminds me of Cascias and the little cafes.
