Cachca ...... cachaca??????

Midlife Mar 17, 2009 01:48 PM

At the risk of starting another topic like the one about how to say 'mascarpone' on another board I'm curious as to the difference between cachca and cachaca. Googling seems to be unclear except if cachca is a raw form of cachaca. Are they two different things, two levels of the same thing,or the same thing?

I've never heard of cachca - could it simply be a mis-spellng of cachaça?

Thanks. Probably is. I just wanted to be sure when I saw it as 'cachca' on a couple of Googled sites. The reference was to 'cachaca - made from cachca liqueur'.

Gotta believe that's just a finger-fumbling of cachaça.
