"Pay what you can" restaurants
I saw an article in the globe on a Montreal restaurant offering a pay what you can promo to their clients. Do you know of any Toronto restaurants that have caught on? I know of Oscar's in Barrie. Anyone go to Oscar's?

Not exactly 'restaurant' but every Friday Dufferin Grove cooks and serves soup, a vegetarian or vegan entrée, a meat entrée, a side dish, a salad, and dessert - they all have recommended prices (topping $6 for an entree), but it is PWYC. I think its all organic too...

Are you sure Oscar's is a "pay what you can" restaurant? I think it's one of the more upscale/expensive restaurants in Barrie.

re: tjr
Haven't been there but since I pass through Barrie a lot in the summer I try to pay attention and Oscar's does seem to be higher-end and they are offering a pay-what-you-want option, according to their website -
