All -

Taking two kids to the circus, we are looking for a nice casual place for lunch that takes reservations. Non chain. Very casual, somewhat inexpensive.

Any ideas?

Lugo Caffe would work for you all...located across the street from MSG

Saw that one on a previous search. Looks nice, but not sure about the menu for the kids, and a little more food than we were looking for. Looks great for dinner.

Burger place would be good. Island looked like it would have been good a year or more ago, but recent reviews stink.

      Any other suggestions?

Well, since you said that you were looking somewhere that takes reservations, that really narrowed down the list. Please advise if you want us to list places that don't take reservations. Thanks.

Definitely can go without reservations, but must have table service.

          THANKS

            Great. Here's some ideas:
            Brother Jimmy's
            Skylight Diner
Markt (a bit further down, but they DO take reservations)

              Thanks -
Jimmy's would be good, except we always do Virgil's when we do lunch near Broadway.

We are from NJ, so diner - eh. Markt looks too fancy.

I REALLY appreciate your help. Sorry to be difficult.

Anything like 5 Napkin? Is Island Shake that bad?

              How about Burgers and Cupcakes?

Ahhh...OK, no worries. Haven't been to 5 Napkin, but Island Burgers and Shakes makes a great burger...too small of a space, though. There's "brgr" and "Shake Shack" which are located closer to MSG, but don't offer table service.
