Are there any good German restaurants anywhere in LA anymore? All suggestions welcome!

As far as I know, es gibt nichts.

There is Gustav's Jagerhaus and Loreley at the Phoenix Club, both off the 57 at Ball Rd. in Anaheim.

There's Old World Village Restaurant in Huntington Beach and, if it's still around, Red Lion Tavern in Silverlake.

There's Maximilian's in North Hollywood, but that's Austrian and Hungarian.

In addition there is Schreiner's Fine German Sausage in Montrose (not German restaurant, just butcher shop and some German things sold) and Alpine Village deli/bakery in Torrance.

      Das ist aber leider alles...

I unfortunately wouldn't consider Old World Village good (can't comment on the others as I've not been).

But if we're adding Metzgers, I'll recommend the European Deluxe Sausage Kitchen for some of the best Wurst.

Sorry, I was giving the list of German restaurants, period. I'd only put Red Lion and Jagerhaus on the list for GOOD restaurants.

The Red Lion Tavern on Glendale BLvd in LA is awesome. Good beer and food.
