Dinner advice

My husband and I will be in New York in the beginning of May and are looking for two great, interesting restaurants to have dinner at on Sunday and Monday.
Currently, we're considering Scarpetta, Grammercy Tavern, Sushi Yasuda, Babbo, and/or Anthos. (I am aware that some are only open one night or the other.)
Any words of wisdom? We have not been to any of these places, but we are open to other suggestions too...
We are staying midtown, but don't mind cabbing. We will only consider restaurants that take reservations.
Thanks in advance!

The only restaurant on your list that we've been to is Gramercy Tavern, and I must say that our dinner in the formal dining room a few weeks ago was rather disappointing. I have actually enjoyed the food in the Tavern Room much more, but they don't take reservations.

I don't eat sushi, but my daughter and son-in-law do, and Yasuda is their #1 pick.

Yeah? Based on their website, I like the menu, and it looks like such a pretty place.
