For a spicy jerk wing that rivals any Jerk from a jamaican restaurant in Boston these days, try Redbones BBQ in Somerville. They are not on the menu but they will make the fried (normally buffalo sauced) wings and toss them in their jerk. Un sectioned grilled wings can be ordered with jerk as well. They also make a jerk beef sandwich that is really good.

For curry and brown stew dishes I like Flames. There are over 20 Jamaican restaurants in Dorchester alone, I have my list and need to get exploring.

Not exactly in the Boston area (but hey, it IS on a train line), One Love in Worcester is pretty darn good. Haven't been in a while though. Anybody eaten there recently?

I went to One Love a couple of weeks ago. My wife and I both had great meals. You can't be in much of a hurry because everything is made from scratch. The owner makes you feel right at home. You can also bring your own wine or beer if you wish.

Agreed- while it's not the complete focus of the menu, but the chef does Caribbean VERY well at Something Savory in Arlington Heights - he is from Nevis, I believe. His jerk chicken is the best I've had in New England, and most of the food is incredibly tasty.

Flames in both Brigham Circle and Mattapan for Jamaican, Ali's in Roxbury and Mattapan and Singh's in Dorchester for Roti and Lenny's Caribbean Bakery in Mattapan for a good Patty and Coco bread.

There are several places around Blue Hill Avenue and Codman Square that have Caribbean food. Merengue and Irie are two that come to mind. Also, Something Savory in Arlington Heights does a slightly upscale version of Caribbean food.

Lawrence has several good places as well, including Pollo Tipico, which makes an outstanding Cubano, IMO.
