Great Vietnamese in Lancaster

aekb2006 Mar 16, 2009 11:49 AM

My husband and his colleagues swore by Dat's Billiards on Prince Street for the best Vietnamese meatballs and the pork chop. But the place closed and they didn't know where it went. Well, for 4 years it has been on Butler Ave in Lancaster. They were very grateful to rediscover it recently. I know you wouldn't think of a billiards hall as a good place to get food, but if you like Vietnamese, give it a try.

And, yes, they also like Rice and Noodles very much but the meatballs and the pork chop here are supposed to be the best.

Unfortunately, because it is a pool hall, it is not smoke free.

Hope someone can use this information.

Oh good! I liked Dat's too. Where is Butler Ave? I can't picture it.

Sorry, I don't usually get too worked up about the inspection reports, but operating with backed up sinks? While I know clean reports don't equal good food, I do read them in the paper, and am not sorry I haven't tried this place out. Besides, wasn't there also an altercation there recently?

YIKES! I didn't see that. I don't read the local newspaper or watch local news enough, I guess. I'll pass that on. Thanks

a backed up sink? yes i know there were others, i like the inspection reports too, and i look for gross violations. most you will find in any place on any given day. last inspection, no violations.as far as altercations. that's lancaster. between the bubbas, street trash, trailer trash and frat boys this is what you get. they have had altercations at the pancake house and chucky cheese ( the fun place for kids) thy just need to leave there mom at home.

Butler Ave is across from Lancaster Shopping Center off of Oregon Pike by Cravings Deli and Eat N Park.
