[London] St Martin-in-the-Fields-Cafe in the Crypt - Jazz Night-Food?

I'll be visiting in April and came across this as something to do on a Wednesday evening. Any opinions on the food and venue. Is it best to make a reservation?

Was at the jazz cafe last week. Enjoyed the music but the food was definitely not the highlight of the evening! Cafetaria style mains ( Veg or non veg) with sides, large salads and a choice of desserts. Good enough for a cheap eat - portions can be generous - but not a place I would recommend otherwise.
The place wasn't packed when I was there so wouldn't suggest a reservation -
