Kennett Square for foodies??

My girlfriend and I will be spending time in Kennett Square, PA over the next month and are seeking tasty restaurants to visit. Any ethnic, any price range; hole in the wall or fine dining, we're up for anything. Though the more unique the food and experience the better.

Thank you!

Try The Whip in Coateville. http://www.thewhiptavern.com/home.html It's just outside of Kennett.

There's a great Mexican ice cream place there, La Michoacana.

You're right! It's a great place to sit and relax on a nice spring day, ice cream cone in hand, and people-watch. Also, a short distance east (north) on Rt. 1 is Floga Bistro, which has some pretty decent brick-oven pizza. That's also BYO.

I'd second Sovana Bistro. Far and away the best in town. Talula's has great take out but it seems that the menu is more fixed than I'd like. I'm not all that certain the ice cream place is open yet as it is seasonal, but it is very good too...

There have been numerous posts on where to eat in Kennett Square, and I'm sure a search of the PA board will provide you with a lot of useful info. The three places I'd recommend are Sovana Bistro http://www.sovanabistro.com for their great "100-mile Menu" (actually, just about everything at Sovana Bistro is well-prepared and delicious); Taqueria Moroleon for authentic Mexican at great prices in a VERY casual atmosphere; and Talula's Table http://www.talulastable.com/about.html for dine-in or take out breakfast, lunch, or snacks. Dinner generally requires a reservation far in advance as well as a booking for 8-12 guests to fill the singular communal table. All three places, by the way, are BYO, and each one is interesting and unique.
