Fresh green tomatoes in March?
I see fried green tomatoes on menus around town, but can't find the fresh stuff anywhere in stores.
Does anyone know where I can pick up fresh green tomatoes at this time of year?
Failing that, is there a source of nice, big fresh tomatillos? (I know they're not interchangeable, per se, but I can always sweeten up the recipe and let them rest a little longer for my needs.) I depleted the stores of tomatillos at Circus Fruits in Brooklyn this past weekend.
