Lamb Belly : Where to Purchase it?

ChacuterieDude Mar 15, 2009 03:36 PM

I am looking for Lamb Belly. I need to get it in the next two days. I was going to buy it at the Farmers Market, but the person said they will not have it for at least two weeks. I went to Marlow & Daughters and it was 18 dollars a pound and butchered poorly.....

I will go anywhere in the NYC

Have you tried calling Citarella or Ottomanelli's?

You might try calling Casablanca up on 110th Street. On my one visit, it seemed as if they were selling every part of every animal.

Neither Fairway or Whole Foods will have it.

In France, when they say belly, they mean breast. For poitrine du porc, translated at pig breast means pig belly, perhaps here the same, lamb breast should not be difficult to get.
