dim sum near North York Ikea

Hoping to find a dim sum restaurant near North York's Ikea. Can you please suggest something for me? I will be driving.

Thank you.

There's a chinese retaurant on Sheppard near Ikea called Peking Man. I would advise that you NOT be lured in. I've never had dim sum from there but overall everything that I've had from them has been subpar.

Peking Man has some great dishes. Like most restaurants, they have good and so-so. Their best stuff, like the Szechuan beef strips, is among the best Chinese food in Toronto.

REALLY? I must be ordering the wrong dishes. I've never had a good meal from there.

Would love to know some of their better dishes to order. My office orders from there a few times a week and I usually abstain despite my Chinese food craving. I would love to partake!

i've been to peking man a lot in the past, but not recently. their peking duck and hot and sour soup were always pretty good, and also the green onion 'pancake' (i think it's fried?!), i think the last time i went, the wrappers for the duck weren't as good as i remember them being, so i'm not sure if quality has declined overall. tried their pork soup dumplings once and recall never needing to order it again. i haven't tried dim sum there.

There is a nice place (nice decor, higher prices than the cheap scarborough places though) at Finch/Leslie called Paradise.

      Very close to the ikea.

I went to Paradise the other day, and I don't think I'd go back. The food quality was good, but nothing mind-blowing. And the cost was ridiculously high -the bill was double what most places are (eg: Bright Pearl downtown on Spadina)
