Dobson/ Mt. Airy Eats

I am heading to a vintage car event which will be held in late May on the property of Shelton Vineyards in Dobson NC. Staying at the hotel on the property. Anything worth searching out in the area? Could be humble or fancy. Don't want to miss anything special that is local. Thanks.

The restaurant at Shelton Vineyards is very nice place to eat. Snappy Lunch is a fun place to get a burger or a hot dog, but frankly, their pork chop sandwich doesn't do much for me.

My buddy Dave, a native of those parts like myself, says that Snappy Lunch pork chop sandwich is vile, but he's a little funny about food sometimes, so I didn't trust it. Now I do. ; )

In downtown Mt. Airy, there's a little restaurant that serves pork sandwiches. It's been there for like 80 years. I can't think of the name of it, but it's the quintessential spot in Mt. Airy.
