Loose Spices

Anyone know where I can find loose, that is, unpackaged spices?
I like to buy small quantities of things such as corianders seeds but can no longer find a supplier. There used to be an Iranian store in Bethesda that sold certain things but it no longer exists and I can find a replacement. Anyone know?

Penzy's is a great source, but everything is packaged, not loose. Coriander isn't that hard to find though. I haven't looked, but I suspect that it may be one that Whole Foods has by the scoop.

Yeah, my bad, but they do have everything in a wide variety of sizes!

      2. I would think most any Indian grocery would have them.

        1. Whole Foods, MOM's, Yes! Organic Market.

          1. The co-op in Takoma Park has bulk spices.

Thanks a lot. Going to check out Patel Brothers today.

            2. So Patel only has packaged spices (BIG packages). But I also went exploring (I was home from work) and checked out MOM's which was a great discovery. I did find one of the spices I was looking for, they were out of the other. I'll keep looking for other places. Thanks for the suggestions.

              1. The Bethesda co-op has a big selection of bulk spices:
