Is east coast style pulled pork available anywhere in L.A. area?

I'm looking for the pulled pork of my earlier days in North Carolina....I'm willing to drive. Does it exist?

The closest I've come to finding is, perhaps oddly enough, at The Oinkster in Eagle Rock. IIRC, the pulled pork sandwich was delicious, and came with a side of runny, vinegary sauce.

Next time you find yourself at Disneyland try the Pulled Pork Po'boy at the French Market in the New Orleans Square. The pork is actually pulled like you would do it and the smoke is just right -- tender and moist. The roll is perfect and the slaw is outstanding also. In all, this is the best pulled pork in L.A.,, IMO The soft-drinks at the French Market are free re-fill.. Try the three layer chocolate cake made with fudge, walnuts, cake and chocolate mousse.all covered with chocolate frosting and just the right amount of raspberry sauce. -- A great "death by cocolate" way to go.

Get out! Are they actually smoking the pork?

Johnny Rebs has some similar to the type I used to eat during my college days in Chapel Hill. There are several locations.
