Hello all,

Does anyone know what store around DVP/401 area where they sell kataifi dough? I've tried asian supermarkets, loblaws, Metro, etc.. and can't find it. I'm guessing Greek stores or Meditteranean stores may carry this. As long as it's in the Scarborough/Markham area I'm willing to drive. Thanks for your help!

It might be worth calling/visiting Arz Bakery on Lawrence. If they don't have it they should know where you can get it.

Arz will definitely have it. As will Nasr which, although they've going downhill recently, should still stock plenty of frozen stuff. Both on Lawrence, near Warden.

I'm not sure what the attraction is to a store that looks as Nasr has ben described recently. With the weather warming up, it's not very likely that Nasr will still have any frozen food.

I haven't been there in months. I have heard bad reports, though. It was just a suggestion...

I saw it at a Rabba's, don't know if they have any stores close to you.

Longo's carries it too, right next to the phyllo in the frozen pastry merchandiser.

You should try the Highland Farms on Ellesmere, just West of Kennedy. Look in the freezer section, they should have Krinos kataifi at the very least. They may have a few other brands of kataifi and fillo as well.

You could also try Highland Farms location at Bennet and Lawrence, East of Morningside, although this is a much smaller location, so variety may be limited.
