Looking for place in Manhatten for dinner Saturday night. Would like BYOB and not too expensive. We're treating. UES to start, will go anywhere.
Second the response from Caralizzy; and the new space is better than the old one. Note that there are very few decent liquor stores right in the nabe. V v good value.
A Cafe and Wine Room on Columbus and 108th has a nice price fix menu of French Carribean food and is byo. It's a small space, but cozy and warm. The past two times I've been there, the food was consistently good.
Cipolla Rossa for good and hearty Tuscan dishes and BYOB. There are 2 locations - the original at 1st Ave and 91st and the newer one at 1st Ave and 60th.
opposite end of the island but tartine in the west village is cheap and byo...negatives are the wait and the crowded confines...but its a great place.
