any ideas for good take-away sandwiches for a boat ride?

usually go to epicure, la sandwicherie and mattarello- all great, just need a change.

thanks!

Not sure about cold sandwiches, but try Jimmy'z Kitchen on Alton Road.

I still think joes takeaway - try them.

I like Panfiore on Alton & Lincoln, to the right of the movie theater. You could also try Books & Books to go. The falafel pita (or sammie as they would call it) at Pita Spice (formerly Pita Plus) is the best Ive ever had. Get it loaded with everything, especially the hots (go easy, this stuff will make you sweat!). Its on Washington between 10th and 11th.

thanks, have tried panfiore but they don't open til noon, which is always too late for us. need to pick up by 10:30, which is part of the problem

i always get my shrimp, crabs, lobster cocktail and key lime pie at joes too, but they are not the place for cold sandwiches

I had a great cold roast beef there once, better than epicure...
