Penang Arlington Heights Report
Very good meal 3/11/09 at Penang (Malaysian restaurant at 1720 W. Algonquin Rd., Arlington Heights). Excellent asam laksa (large bowl of fairly spicy and sour soup with thick noodles), very good mee goreng (noodles in dried squid sauce), excellent martabak (meat in roti, served with curry sauce - recommended by waiter, may not have been on menu), good roti. Very friendly service - we were given a complimentary ice kacang dessert. We were there about 8:30 p.m. on a Wednesday night, and business was slow. We highly recommend for moderate-priced authentic Malaysian food in suburbs.
