Tips for Dining, Eating and Food Shopping in Miami and Ft. Lauderdale

Ft. Lauderdale help

We will be in Ft. Lauderdale for 4 days this week and would like some recommendations for casual good local spots for seafood, mexican, cuban and any other suggestions. Would prefer local, casual, non-gourmet - just good food. Beach suggestions are welcome as well. We have a car and are willing to venture away from Ft Lauderdale as well. Thanks in advance.

    1. I always recommend Coconuts, one of my favorite spots in Ft Lauderdale. Great food, water view, very relaxing. http://www.coconutsbahamagrill.com/

      Smith and Jones is a new restaurant on Las Olas. Diverse menu with reasonable prices. It's in an area with a decent night life as well.
