Tips for Dining, Eating, and Food Shopping in DC/Baltimore and Suburban Virginia

Breakfast in Georgetown?

I have a 9:30 meeting on the main Georgetown campus. To get there on time from Baltimore we'll have to leave at the crack of dawn and have some time to kill in the neighborhood. Can anyone recommend a good breakfast spot? I'm not looking for power breakfast at the Four Seasons, just a nice place where my colleague and I can shoot the breeze before hauling ourselves back to campus.

Somewhere we can sit would be idea, either a restaurant or a coffee shop. When I was a GU student, I ate my breakfasts at Wisey's (no seats) and Einsten's Bagels (chain -- why bother?) so I could use some newer advice.

    1. Leopold's opens at 8:00 every day and serves a nice breakfast .

Nice call folks. Thirded. In addition, I think for a quick coffee and baked goods Baked and Wired will hook you up. They open at 7 on weekdays.

            2. I like Leopold's, but my go-to breakfast spots in Georgetown are the Peacock Cafe (check on days/times) and Furin's (small, family-run, cozy spot across from the Four Seasons).

              1. Wisey's now has seats. I'm not sure the cuisine back then but now they have some healthy options. Le Pain Quotidien but it's quite far from campus. Saxby's which is a coffee shop near campus and they have some typical breakfast pastries/sandwiches.
