Jocko's for a temporary vegetarian....

Mr Taster Mar 9, 2009 04:20 PM

Mom's coming out for a visit, and she simply must experience Jocko's. Unfortunately, my sister's pregnancy has put her off meat temporarily (we hope).

I've never looked at the non-beef section of Jocko's menu..... is there anything worth eating that's shellfish or veggie friendly? (She's off fish too, apparently-- but shellfish and, oddly, pastrami are a-ok with her)

Thanks 'hounds!

Although not cooked on the grill, Jocko's has calamari steaks, halibut and crab legs on the menu.
    They also have cheese enchiladas.
My favorite steak is the small Spencer cooked rare....charred on the outside and rare in the middle.

They got spaghetti and chicken, but never recall seeing any kind of seafood especially shellfish cooking on the grill.

Will get back to you if I can find a menu lying around. Or give them a call and ask.

BTW you can make reservations and I believe the oak grill opens only for dinner like after 4pm or something.
My favorite is the large steak sandwich. 1 pound rib eye on garlic toast.
