I suppose if you are driving to Deli News then Milk and Honey would be another choice.
Most of my Jewish friends go there for their baked goods if they don't make themselves.

LH, looking at their web-site and seeing they have a "grill", is their actual menu limited to what is listed on the web-site? IE, do they also do typical "deli" sandwiches of Reuben, pastrami, bagels w/(nova)lox, etc?

Deli-news at Preston and Campbell in far North Dallas. The best! I promise.

Not real sure what you mean by "downtown DFW," but if you mean downtown Dallas try Cindy's. They have multiple locations, one of which is near the state courthouse in downtown Dallas. But, I think the Cindy's on Central Expressway a/k/a 75 (west side service road between Royal and Forest Lane) has better baked goods.

If that doesn't work, I have seen it at Central Market and Whole Foods. Though I am not sure if they have it currently.
