Where to find 125ml canning jars?

does anyone know where I can buy the 125ml Bernardin jars? i've seen lots of variety at canadian tire, but the smallest size i've seen is the 250ml.

thanks!

You might try the Home Hardwares and the like along St. Clair W.

Does anyone know where to get a jar like the one in the pic? Is there a special name for it? thx.

I purchased the 125ml bernardin jars - at the Zellers at Gerrard Square...(way at the back of the store) last June to make strawberry jams for my wedding shower... what was i thinking?

hippotatomus - i just bought jars like that at tap phong on Spadina - they've got many sizes & I also saw them at Binz on Queen Street East. You do have to be careful about canning procedures though - I don't think they seal the way the other jars do. But they are lovely and I like using them for other things - esp. those I plan to eat in quick order... (quick pickles, curd, salad dressings, etc.)

our of curiosity, blindbunny - what are you making in march?

thanks a bunch for the tip. i will have to check zellers out. i think a lot of places are only carrying them seasonally, hence my problem finding them. i've only recently gotten into jamming after getting a jam/chutney recipe book over xmas. so far i've made a cardamom/carrot jam and an apricot/lime (dried apricots). it's great fun. next up is ruby red grapefruit marmalade. i'm addicted!!

cardomon/carrot jam? oh gosh! Sounds wonderful.

I haven't been to that Zellers in a while - so I hope I haven't sent you on a wild goose chase!

Canadian tire usually has decent supplies - I bought my canning kettle there and they usually have stuff stocked all year around.

Blood orange marmalade sounds divine... if it didn't set properly - sounds like you need more sugar. (But not an expert!)
