corned beef and cabbage

help chowhounds
suddenly am having 20 people over for dinner next saturday for a st patricks day dinner.
dont have tuime or inclination to cook...any ideas of (hopefully) westside places (restaurants, even markets) that might be serving up Leprechaun worthy fare???

need to know asap!

    Not on the westside anymore, but jennie cook's catering usually does St Patrick's day foods, including corned beef to pick up and reheat.

        I think the above poster was referring to "Magee's Kitchen" in the LA Farmer's Market. Good, traditional corned beef. I guess it depends on your definition of westside. :) I have no doubt they could prepare a platter for 20 people.

        The only place I've had true Leprechaun-worthy fare on the west-of-405 westside is at Finn McCool's in Santa Monica. They might be able to prepare a platter for you if you arrange it early enough with them.

        If you don't want to cook the corned beef the carving stand at the Farmer's Market has great roast beef. Make your own colcannon - potatoes mashed with cabbage (i like to cook scallions into the mashing milk) and you're all set. Happy St. Pat's...
