Crow In A Blanket

Ingredients
4 pieces of crow breast meat (no bones) per person
wild rice
bacon strips
butter
salt and black pepper
Preparation
Rub each crow breast piece with salt and pepper. Wrap each piece with a strip of bacon and place 2 wrapped pieces in aluminum foil. Cook at 300 degrees for 2 hours. Serve hot with steamed wild rice, generously buttered.

    FYI, crows are native birds and therefore illegal to kill, maybe you could substitute starling?

      How about Ortolans if we're going the illegal route. Bring back Louis the 14th!!!!

      Here, in the Lake Merrit section of Oakland, CA, we're partial to Branta canadensis. These danged pests discovered our lake several years ago....well, actually it was on their route for years and years but they discovfered they never had to leave.

      Why do all that flying when you can just spend your time crapping and honking and wandering into traffic on Lakeshore Avenue?

      Any recipes would be gladly accepted.

      PS: It's a bird sanctuary so I may have to do my hunting in the middle of the night when the center is closed.
