Greek in Cleveland
Love Greek food but seem to have trouble finding it in the Greater Cleveland. Any suggestions? Other than Tremont's Greek Festival and the Mad Greek, there seems to be few choices. They're both great, but looking for other options in the area. Looking for places serving Greek entrees, not gyros. Thanks!
Friday fish fry during Lent at St Constantine's on Mayfield two blocks west of Severence Center is wonderful! We went there for the first time this week and the walleye was delish and inexpensive ($10-11). Optional sides include Greek pastries, salad, mac & cheese. Live music!
For a great lunch, try Greek Express in the The Arcade downtown Cleveland. The Arcade runs between Euclid and Superior Avenues between Ontario and East 4th. Only open during the week for lunch, it always has a line out the door and a cult-like following. They offer a few items every day and the items are a mix of Greek classics and some Indian dishes thrown in (reflecting the ethnicity of the husband-wife owners.) A classic spot. I go for the chicken curry kabobs, which aren't Greek, but they also make a mean avgolemono soup.
