Well one thing to note they only let service dogs in the market though I think they have folks who offer Dog sitting @ the post office. Dommy and I like that market, though this winter it seems to have a lot more prepared food vendors than farmers but as it gets into spring I think that will change. Go around take a look. I think you will find something you like. generally we use it to start our shopping for the week and go from there. also it is good to not its proximity to the Curious palate and Mitsuwa which are great finds i the area.

re: Mattapoisett in LA
Baron is a genuine chowhound, but he gladly stays in the car and awaits my return. I just came back from the market, I got there early so they were still setting up. Lots of interesting booths offering cooked and prepared foods. Smelled great. They had a good number of vendors offering seasonal produce, avocados, all kinds of citrus, greens, root vegies, etc. A bit too early for tomatoes but I bought a couple anyway. Nice looking cukes which I will turn into pickles. They also had flowers, cheeses. I did not sea any seafood, meat or fowl. It’s a fun way to shop. Don’t forget to bring small bills and change. I always offer to take my change in trade.
