Lamb From Aqui Es Texcoco soon to be available on University Ave
I was doing some recon around 25th and University Ave today and noticed a sign that almost made me crash.

Aqui Es Texcoco coming soon!
After further inquiry, I've come to find out they will have an express version available in the store soon. The goods will be provided by Aqui Es Texcoco Chula Vista, and take out will be available.
This is very good news for fans of Aqui Es Texcoco. Details still need to be ironed out, I will report back when its in full effect.

This is great news, two of my favorite Mexican restaurants in all of San Diego will be within a couple of blocks of each other (Just a correction MA it is actually 35th and University), Aqui es Texcoco and Super Cocina. These two restaurants are as authentic as you can get in my opinion.

avagax thanks for the correction. Yes its very close to Super Cocina and a stones throw away from Mariscos German.
DougOlis- I doubt they will have a full Menu, I've been told it will be an express version.

Wow! That's awesome... I can't wait until it opens. As long as there are lamb tacos and huitlacoche quesadillas, I'm happy.

I went to Aqui es Texcoco in Chula Vista this past weekend and indeed I confirmed with the gentleman who manages the restaurant that they are opening an "express" version (take out) in the City Heights location. He said they were shooting for a June/Summer opening. He also mentioned they had plans to open a third location in the future.
