Sunday Evening Dinner Suggestions

Greetings!

My in-laws are in town and are staying at the Harbour Castle down on Harbourfront. They are taking us out for dinner on Sunday night.

We would like somewhere nice but not necessarily high end. Any suggestions?

TIA

    - Le Select
    - Starfish
    - Beerbistro

All cozy spots, not too high-end, open Sundays...

You'd best to call and make sure they are open Sunday, but I highly recommend Nota Bene. The menu is well rounded and the room is impressive at fairly reasonable pricing. Great place to take visitors.

Starfish = good choice! Excellent oysters of course, but also exemplary mains. It's open from 5 o'clock on Sundays.

Le Papillon is in the nice but not high-end category, open Sunday for dinner. Within walking distance. Good French onion soup.

geoprincess - Sorry to somewhat hijack your post here but I just wanted to ask you a question. You gave me some good info a few months ago about Cullen Gardens for a wedding location.

We've booked it. We're still deciding on a caterer, I was wondering if you could tell me the caterer you had issues with. We we're pretty set on Pelican, the one you used. But after going to an open house/tasting with them and one with Kings Court, we're heavily leaning towards Kings Court. Just want to know if that was possibly the one you had issues with and even if possible you could expand on what those issues were. Chances are we'll still be going with Kings Court, but its hard with these places when there is so little information about them out there from people who have used their services.

Anything further info you can offer would be very helpful.

Zucca, Yonge, south of Eglington. Prix fixe Sunday. Great Italian.
              Cheers
