I think I have seen it both at Mitsuwa and Nijiya

    Nijiya Market
2130 Sawtelle Blvd 105, Los Angeles, CA 90025

    Mitsuwa Marketplace
3760 S Centinela Ave, Los Angeles, CA

10 pounds - that's a lot of belly. Matt is right - both places have great pork belly in their meat cases. For 10 pounds, you might also consider going out to 99 Ranch in Van Nuys. They do brisk business in pork in their meat department, and 10 pounds should be a cinch. I was at the San Gabriel store last weekend and I think it was around $2/pound.

Oops - I did the same thing earlier when I was reading some instructions - I skimmed past the "do not" part and, well... Thanks.

I'm sure Bristol Farms or Gelson's can get some for you. And at the prices they charge, their butchers will even trim a lot of that pesky fat.

Would opt for the asian markets first. The price is better and they tend to use a lot of it in cooking. Mitsuwa will always have it. Nijya will also have it.
