Trenton Area - Fish and Chips?

njfoodies Mar 6, 2009 04:22 AM

ALright folks, Lent is here, and I always crave fish and chips this time of year. Yes, there is another fish and chips thread on here, but I am looking specifically for fish and chips in the immediate Trenton area: Princeton, Hamilton, Bordentown, etc, etc. Anyone have any good recommendations?

The ones at Triumph in Princeton are OK, but not great. Looking for other options. Thanks! -mJ

I heard the F&Cs at the Broad St Diner were really good. Also Killarney's Publick House. Haven't gotten a chance to try either.

I concur, I had them at the Killarney's Publick House a couple of months ago and they were very good. The batter was light and not greasy at all.

Bit out of area you noted but if you want to take a ride up Rt.29 the Inn of the Hawke in Lambertville has good F&Cs.

Had theirs many times giant, but they were much better 2 years ago. Wish they were still as good! -mJ

Freddies in Ewing/West Trenton has them each Friday for their Early Bird Special and they are delicious. You get the fish and fries and your choice of salad or soup for 9.95.
I think it is worth the trip.
