There's the Korean movie, "Le Grand Chef" from 2007
                    http://www.moviexclusive.com/review/l...

The same story also as a Korean tv drama, "Gourmet", that's much more detailed, with a different cast from 2008. There are quite a few more TV series about chefs as you will find if you do a search on it.

Pepper Mil, I'm assuming you meant you watched the TV drama version?
I'm just on the 9th episode and hope that the series never ends! Been trying to get the image of that huge bowl of Ja Jiang Mian all stirred up and slurped , and the tasting of 10 different cuts of beef, raw, out of my head.....

No, I watched the movie. I will be on the lookout for the TV drama version, but without knowing the Chinese name it may be tough to find...

Although she was not a cook but rather a candy maker, the most delightful movie I can think of is "Chocolat"
