The Jonesville Store

I finally found my way to The Jonesville Store. As I pulled in someone waved hello. The restaurant was cozy and the staff was warm and friendly. They get their bagels from H&H and rugelach from Carnegie Deli. Their food looked like what I would make at home and it's NOT a chain (though Panera Bread is growing on me). I decided on a pecan bun to go and will definitely go back for lunch and dinner (I think dinner is relatively new) . They have been open 3 years. When I told them I was thinking about moving back to the Capital Region they told me to come home . . .

I can't wait to go back.

    A recent review in Metroland:

Addicted to their curry chicken salad. Have not been for dinner yet.

Went for breakfast again Saturday. Had the salmon eggs benedict with tomato/capers on a potato pancake. Not hot enough. Bleuberry pancakes were better. Place has a great vibe and energy about it.

That Times Union review, from '06, is out-of-date, at least as far as table seating is concerned. Lots of really pleasant indoor seating, in two rooms. Beer and wine available, great sandwiches, cheeses.

Thanks, PSZaas. They also offer entertainment and dinner some nights. They just celebrated 3 years.

Went back last weekend and had the blueberry pancakes with granola. Delicious!

PS They have a small kitchen and staff but do they really need to use all that plastic? Maple syrup in a little plastic cup? If you ask for a mug they will give you one instead of a paper cup . . .

Their food is quite good. We've tried them several times.
