Dan Sung Sa (Korean Gastropub) - Perceptor's Report
I love this place.... the wood decor is great... have a few drinks with good friends while munching on korean goodies... Dan Sung Sa is definitely a fun place to relax after a long week... with a large selection of food items, you can try new things everytime you go... Dan Sung Sa is kinda like the equivalent of Japanese gastropub Musha... check out my photo link below for more info on the food...

Yelp claims Dan Sung Sa is closed:

Is this true? Most recent review is Feb 22, no mention of closure. Phone is still connected. Usually Yelp is slowww to mark a place closed.

Is that English language menu new?
Every time I've been the last 4 years I've just had to have some sort of negotiation of sorts about what I want. Sometimes I get and other times it is something else (but usually good).
Part of the fun.›4 Replies-

re: noahbites
It is like wandering into a local bar in another country. It really does have that hole in the wall atmosphere. Thought the food was very good and my wife loved the lemon Soju.
My only complaint was that there were no prices on the english menu and the numbers on the korean menu didn't match up with the english one. Ended up spending a little more than a thought. Really fantastic frogs legs and spicy pork rib. Ordered the quail, but the waitress made a mistake and it didn't come, which was OK since we ordered too much food.

re: bsquared2
I went there last night with a few friends. Thank god my friend read fluent korean. We had the spicy pork, fried chicken wings, tofu with spicy salad, mook salad, potato and pork stew, and kimchee chigae. It's a nice change from the typical korean bbq joints and more economical with a large variety. Will definitely go back!
