Vallejo: Royal Jelly Doughnut ... fish and chips
The shop on Spring Rd is open 24/7.
Didn't find out when the donuts are made, but they had a good supply late in the afternoon and they tasted fresh.
I'm not sure I'm a fan, they are a typical donut shop donut and a little light. The sugar dusted raised had me intrigued since I've never seen a donut that pale before. It wasn't bad, a little yeasty.
The custard-filled maple-glazed had a decent maple flavor, the filling also on the lighter side and tasted like vanilla pudding. Looking back on it with the name of the place, should have tried a jelly donut.
Donuts are 75 for cake or raised and 80 cents for others. Like All-Star they have self-serve coffee in various flavors.
There's a small grill section that serves hamburgers or fish and chips from 11-6 Monday - Friday. They have big signs about the fish outside. Anyone tried it?
