Celebrating our friend's birthday who loves fresh fish....he likes Bluewater Grill, so you can see its about midrange...any other suggestions would be appreciated.

Don't overlook Kings Fish House in Laguna Hills. (Guess what? They own Water Grill downtown.) Not as fancy nor as expensive but the fish is awfully good, fresh, done to perfection. Their oysters are as good as you could ask for. The other place, Salt Creek Grill, right off PCH in the center with Gelsons, has some of the best fish, too, that they grill over real wood fire, very hot, yummy with excellent sides, good drinks, good desserts, and a nice romantic date spot.
