wander through North Beach and Chinatown, it's walking distance from Fisherman's Wharf
You might try Scoma's for crab, either cracked, a crab louis or cioppino. All very SF specific. Crab is still in season, although barely.

Yeah, the lazyman's cioppino at Scomas is very SF--especially if you're on an expense account. There are tons of places though.
