a new idea for lunch in woburn
I just started working in Woburn. . . around the Target area and I am looking for a good lunch spot.

Depending on how much time you have, if you wend your way to the end of the road and turn right onto Woburn St., you'll come out at the corner of Rte 129 at Lucci's Supermarket. They are famous for the enormous amount of cold cuts on their sandwiches, available on bulkies, 2 sizes of sub, and I believe wraps. But truly, you need to remove 2/3 of the filling, keep it cold, and make sandwiches at home to bring for the next few days! It's maybe 5 minutes from Target.
You probably know there's a Panera in the Woburn Mall, and you'll have noticed China Pearl, Bertucci's and On the Border. If you take Mishawum to Washington St and turn right, there are several places in the Cummings/W.Cummings Pk complexes. Far East has a Chinese Buffet, Ambassador an Indian buffet. If you turn onto Olympia from Washington, look for The Sub Factory (on the right), which has a good variety of generous subs, though smaller than the Lucci's monsters.
If you have the time to get to Woburn Center, you will find numerous places, including several Brazilian, a Japanese one, Thai, Italian, and the cafeteria-style Greek-and-more place, The Restaurant.

Echoing some recs:
Downtown Woburn: Tuda Na Brasa, a very fine weigh-your-plate churrascaria
North Woburn: Pho #1, a decent Vietnamese/Thai place
Churrascaria Rodeo: a rodizio-style churrascaria
Lanna Thai: pretty decent Thai in an old diner setting, which is kinda cool
Sichuan Garden II: superb Sichuan cuisine: ask for the dinner and specialties menus, otherwise you get a pretty dull, limited, Americanized lunch combo menu only
I'd avoid Ixtapa in downtown Woburn; it served me some of the worst Mexican food I've had in years.

I can second Pho #1 in Woburn. Not too far from where you are. Very good pho and spring rolls, but have yet to try their thai.

How about Chipotle? It just opened across from Target. I found the burrito bowl to be quite tasty.

If you like Indian cuisine, I've always enjoyed the lunch buffet at the Ambassador Indian Restaurant.

Masa in Woburn, close to Winchester, in the mall with Whole Foods, serves a nice lunch option.
Agree with MCB, stay away from Ixtapa.
China Pearl was going to start serving Dim Sum for weekday lunch, I don' t know if it has happened. 2nd also Dave's and Sichuan Garden.

does ambassador have a buffet on weekends too? Would love to try, but work in boston.

They do (no liquor license). I'd say their food is good, but there are certainly better alternatives in the general area, including Khushboo in Lexington (no buffet) and The Pongal in Billerica on the Burlington line (weekday lunch bufet and a more extensive lunch buffet on weekends).

Good to know. Not concerned about liquor since I don't drink. I used to live right down the street from what is now the pongal in billerica. It used to be vegetarian, but I think that is changed now right? I will have to get back there to try...

Right. The owners are from south India, where vegetarian dishes are the norm (they have another restaurant in Bangalore), but The Pongal features the cuisine of all the areas of India. Search the Boston Board for comments. They are very busy during the weekend lunch buffet, which is a better value than ordering off the menu.
