Joe Dons top ten N.O. local restaurants
Liuzzas on Bienville( the Frenchuletta rules.)
Parkway Bakery and Tavern
Guys Poboys( the grilled shrimp poboy is special)
Casamentos (oyster heaven)
Rocky and Carlos in Chalmette( the world is just a better place when its all served on top of a giant plate of macaroni.)
Domilises(You have entered heaven )
Franky and Johnnys(Hey its all good)
Bozos( fried catfish and gumbo nuff said)
Crescent City Steak House(solid and you dont have to take a bank loan to dine here amen)
This is the kind of list I'm looking for. We'll need three lunch places in or near the Quarter for po'boys, oysters and a crawfish boil. Does anyone have opinions?
Franky & Johnny's has been sliding downhill for years...you can do better.
Liuzza's frenchuletta is still good, but avoid the roast beef at all costs. Stick to the fried pickles and frozen bushwhackers.
I agree with Parkway & Casamento's...other than that my top 10 are way different...don't you love living with such great choices!!??
