Can anyone recommend a good spot in Sarasota (or thereabouts) to try gator tail, wild hog, or anything else more adventurous than beef, chicken, pork, etc?

Many thanks...

I’ve not been there but I’ve been told about a place in Bradenton called the Linger Lodge that serves some form of alligator. I’m planning to go there for lunch one of these days. As per their website:

Named by Forbes.com as one of the "Most Unusual Restaurants in the World"
    * Al Roker named us one of the "Top 5 Weirdest Restaurants in America" and we're proud of it.
    * Preserved native Florida animals adorn every inch of the restaurant.
    * We specialize in Old Florida favorites such as:
    o Fresh alligator bites
    o Frog legs
    o Fried Green Tomatoes
    o BBQ
    o Seafood
