Tallgrasss beef is available at the new French Market in the train station - validated parking, plus great Metra and Green Line access. I believe the booth is City Market (possibly an additional location?). It's the only butcher there. Bought two NY strip steaks and grilled them for Valentine's Day - definitely worth the price.

If you are near the southeast Chicago or if you don't mind making the drive, Seven Sons offers grass-fed beef through a local buying club located in Hammond, IN. See http://www.sevensons.net for details.

Tallgrass Beef, the company founded by local newsman Bill Kurtis, sells grass-fed beef, including steaks as well as ground beef and sausages. Their products are available at places in the city and suburbs, as well as for home delivery and website ordering. Fox & Obel's parking is extremely convenient (and free)! When you go there, go past F&O on Illinois Street, and the high-rise condo on the left has the underground garage for their parking; you'll see a sign at the entrance on the left. When you drive into the garage, you'll see lots of signs directing you to the specially reserved parking spaces for F&O. When you take the elevator to the street level, you'll be right across the street from F&O. Parking is free with a $20 purchase; bring your parking ticket with you so you can validate it at the F&O customer service counter next to the cashiers. (F&O also has valet parking which is even more convenient but you'll have to pay somewhere around $7-9 for it.)
You can also order it for delivery by Peapod.
