Astoria, anyone?

We're heading to Astoria for a night in March to celebrate our wedding anniversary (No. 12, yet another personal record!) and are staying at the Cannery Pier Hotel. Looking for a good restaurant for anniversary dinner. The Bosnian place sounds very good, but not romantic. The bistro associated with the Hotel Elliott gets mixed reviews. For an anniversary dinner, price doesn't matter.

Am I overlooking something in Astoria?

Thanks. And I'm happy to offer any north shore Kauai advice ... we go there annually.

  1. My fave has always been Baked Alaska. It's been a couple of years, so I hope it's still there.

    1. You will not be disappointed at Bridgewater Bistro, which happens to be the closest restaurant to your hotel. For that matter (in spite of the considerable value of the Chowhound participants) call the Cannery Pier Hotel. Bet they suggest Bridgewater.
