There are three Ginza Japanese places in the Suburbs (Cockeysville, Owings Mills & Laurel) , the Kobe mentioned earlier in White March. The closest Benihana to Balt is in the DC Suburbs in Bethesda. Also if you like Korean BBQ, there is a Korean restaraunt in Ellicott City called Shin Chon Gardens, that offers tableside cooking on portable grills.

There used to be one in the bottom of the Belvedere Hotel. Not sure if it is still there, but worth a phone call if you don't want to drive out to the 'burbs.

Sakura has numerous restaurants in their chain, but they are all in the suburbs. We like the one next to the Enchanted Forest in Ellicott City.

We finally made it to the Korean Barbecue place in Charles Village (Jong Kak) last week and it was terrific. We got the all grilled beef meal for 4 people (~$75) and we were all very happy grilling the marinated meat to various degrees of char directly in the table. The fermented bean paste they bring you is worth the trip alone.
