Girls night out to the Meany Dance series and we'd like dinner before. We've been to Pair, Eva, Joule and Tilth. Any other recommendations from you fine folks? Much appreciated.

  1. You've pretty much hit the highlights! There are a couple of restaurants in the U-Village area that are worth a look- Enotria (upscale Northwest), Shun (Japanese), JAK's steakhouse. A new place just opened up in the area called Frank's Oyster House that has gotten good reviews but I havent been there. The restaurants AT U-Village are pretty mediocre. You could also check out Cafe Lago, just across the Montlake bridge.

    1. I recommend Shun for Japanese food and Fondi's for pizza and salads. Both of these are northwest of U Village

While it might be too casual for your affair, I love Pam's Kitchen on the Ave. Trinidadian food, really nice, everything housemade with love. Plus their homemade rum punch is tasty (and strong!)

      2. Thanks -some good options for the next few dance performances! chowhounds are the best.

        1. Also casual, but don't forget Agua Verde for spicy catfish tacos, green rice and margaritas. YUM. They have happy hour until 6pm.

          1. Not quite as nice as some of the suggestions, but the some amazing food: Jack's Mainly Chinese Tapas Cafe.

            Funny name, great food.

            1. We ate again at Bengal Tiger, on Roosevelt, above 65th, last night and enjoyed it. Nearby is India Bistro also, though we've not been.
