I found some a few months ago at the Mi Buella Puebla II grocery store in Elmhurst. But call first since I only saw a few cans on hand. Get some tacos or cemitas while you're at it (I go for the goat tacos or the barbacoa de chivo on weekends). Good looking sausages and marinated meats too.

My grandmother always got our pulques at a Kosher butcher, but with them so hard to find, likely a good supermarket that stocks Empire or other chickens. My wife just gets regular store name pulques and fleegles now...we don't keep Kosher (I still stick with breasts...less fat on the white meat).

re: Veggo
Veggo, You mean pulque, the drink that is pre Columbian made from the same plant as tequila. Moxie means legs, pulkes is Yiddish for legs. I've never heard of pulque being available anywhere outside Mexico. I'm dying to try some, so if you get it, please share your source (if legal).

re: MOREKASHA
M, thanks for the clarification.I'll assume the poster spelled correctly and is referring to the beverage and not poultry. I am not aware of any that is bottled for export. It is disappearing even on the Mexican scene. There is some nice small batch home-brewed around Jalisco where the cacti farms are, and some on Baja Sur. When I have occasion to enjoy it in the Yucatan, it's because a truck driver transporting regional artifacts from Michoacan or Guerrero, or produce from Guanajuato, has stashed a few jugs aboard.
