Franschhoek

We are staying two nights here (a t La Residence)
Any thoughts on dinner selections? Suggestions by the agency that booked us are dinner at La Residence one night and The Tasting Room in Le Quartier Francais.
Prefer fresh, local, not stuffy, not overly formal and am concerned the above may be in that catagory?

Would also highly recomend Reuben's, outstanding food and service in a relaxing atmosphere. The Tasting Room served excellent food and wine,. It seems to strive to be a three star type of restaurant it is rather formal compared to most area restaurants. For lunch I highly recommend La Petite Ferme.

I only have the opportunity on an upcoming trip to have lunch in Franschoek - If I have only one meal (lunch) I can enjoy which would you recommend the most? Thanks!
